Polyfloor Polybond Limited specialist coatings, custom made colour powder coatings and wet paints
General Polybond   Polyfloor   is   ideal   for   wooden   and   concrete   floors   both   internally   and   externally.   It   is   based   on   modified polyurethane   resins   which   are   tough   and   flexible.   Thus   it   provides   a   hard   wearing   surface   which   is   resistant   to chemicals   and   oils   and   yet   smooth   enough   to   be   hygienic   and   easy   to   clean,   preventing   problems   of   dusting   and staining.   Polybond   Polyfloor    is   available   in   a   wide   range   of   colours   that   dry   to   a   mid   gloss   finish.   For   extra   shine,   a clear surface glaze is also available. Polybond   Polyfloor    is   quick   drying   and   therefore   recommended   as   a   protective   coating   to   garage   and   factory floors   where   minimum   time   is   available   for   shutdown.   The   product   can   be   applied   quickly   and   easily   over   a weekend by unskilled labour, ready for use on Monday morning. Typical Areas of Use Garages Showrooms Surface Preparation Thorough   preparation   of   the   surface   to   be   coated   will   allow   the   paint   to   perform   to   its   best   capability.   Surfaces   must be   dry   and   clean,   leaving   no   dust,   dirt,   oil   or   grease.   Polybond   Concrete   Cleaner   should   be   used   to   clean concrete   floors.   Existing   paintwork   should   be   scraped   back   to   a   firm   edge   with   any   bare   areas   being   patch   primed prior to the main coat. To ensure compatability, a patch test should be carried out over existing paint. Application Porous   floors   such   as   concrete   should   have   a   first   coat   of   Polybond   Polyfloor    to   which   10%   Speed   Thinners   has been added. Metal floors will require a primer coat of either Glopane Epoxy or Zinc Phosphate Primer . The product will require thorough stirring and can be applied by brush, roller, conventional or airless spray methods. To   ensure   maximum   strength,   the   manufacturer   recommends   application   of   two   full   bodied   coats.   This   is   achieved by   sprinkling   a   non-slip   aggregate   into   the   first   coat   whilst   it   is   still   wet. Any   loose   excess   should   be   brushed   away prior to the second coat. Chemical Resistance Once   cured,   Polybond   Polyfloor    will   withstand   the   following:   freshwater,   sea   water,   milk,   acids,   alkalis,   diesel   oil, mineral oil, grease, fat and kerosene. It will also be capable of resisting splashes of petrol and hydraulic fluids. Colours Tile Red, Sandstone, Dark Green, Grey and Clear from stock. Other colours available on request.
