4. FIRST AID MEASURES
General
- If medical attention is required present a copy of this datasheet to the physician.
Inhalation
- Remove affected person to fresh air and keep at rest. Do not leave affected person
unattended. If symptoms occur, seek medical attention.
Skin Contact
- Flood skin with large quantites of soap and water whilst removing contaminated clothing.
Wash for at least 15 minutes. The product may remain trapped under clothing, footwear
or a wrist watch. If irritation develops, seek medical attention.
Eye Contact
- Remove contact lenses. Immediately wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the
eye lids. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. If there are signs of irritation or
other symptoms seek medical attention.

- Do NOT induce vomiting, if vomiting does occur, have affected person lean forward to
reduce risk of aspiration. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the
container or label. Do not give milk or alcoholic beverages. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person. Keep person warm and at rest.

Methods of Clean Up
- Large spills should be collected mechanically (remove by pumping) for disposal.
Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder,
universal binder, sawdust). Pick up and transfer to properly labelled containers.
Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly while observing
environmental regulations. Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling
- Good industrial practice in housekeeping and personal hygiene should be followed. When
using do not eat, drink or smoke. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection. (See 8).
Equipment or utensils used for dispensing the chemical must be suitable for the purpose.
Wash out after use. Wash thoroughly after handling the material. Remove contaminated
clothing and wash before re-use. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid
ingestion/inhalation. Emergency eye wash stations and showers should be made available.
Storage
- Store in a dry ventilated area at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C. Reseal open
packages to prevent spillage. Keep containers tightly closed. Keep away from oxidising
substances. Do not freeze.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Adequate ventilation should be provided. Local Exhaust Ventilation is preferable to personal protection.
Gloves made of Nitrile Rubber conforming to EN 374 0.1 to 0.4mm thick and safety glasses. Chemical respirators
and overalls are not required under normal use conditions.
Provide eyewash stations and safety showers. Wear appropriate clothing to prevent repeated or prolonged
skin contact.
